During the first three weeks of term four, students will be learning about ‘Mission’.
They will study social justice issues both locally and globally.
They will view DVDs which highlight the work done by CARITAS and Catholic Mission to support people in third world countries and our own country. Then with their teacher, they will discuss how they can help others.
Each grade will also focus on one ‘Mercy Value’ during these units of work. Kindergarten will work on the value of Excellence; Yr. 1: Respect; Yr.2: Compassion; Yr.3: Hospitality; Yr.4: Service and Stage 3: Social Justice
Jesus calls us all to mission. Parents I encourage you to speak to your children about the mission of Christ and how they can contribute to that mission of caring for others.
