Creative and Performing Arts
We encourage our students to explore their passions and talents. We have a range of opportunities available for students to participate in creative and performing arts activities and programs such as drama and dance.
Starting in kindergarten, students build confidence and teamwork through drama lessons exploring mime, improvisation and movement. We offer plenty of performance opportunities, including St Patrick's school drama group.
Students also enjoy performing with CAPTIVATE, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese's creative and performing arts program.

Music
Music plays an integral part in the life of St Patrick’s. It enhances the prayer life of the community and is a source of entertainment at events such as school assemblies. Music also provides students with an opportunity for meaningful self-expression.
Music is taught in accordance with the NSW Creative Arts K-6 syllabus. Each student participates in formal music lessons taught by a specialist music teacher. Music is also integrated into other Key Learning Areas throughout the school day.
Students have the opportunity to participate in the school’s choir and the 'Kids on Keyboard' program.

Visual Art
Artistic talents are expressed, fostered and valued as students participate in drawing, painting, colouring, paper craft and other art-making techniques. Taught in accordance with the NSW Creative Arts K-6 syllabus, visual arts lessons are adapted to the needs of individual students.

Leadership opportunities
All students at St Patrick's are challenged to grow into ethical and confident leaders who will have a positive influence beyond their school life.
Senior students serve in leadership positions including school captains, mission leaders, media leaders and sport leaders. They organise school assemblies, playground activities, and school fundraising activities.

School Sport
Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport.
Extensive opportunities to participate in sports include:
- Sports in Schools Australia (SISA) program
- athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals
- sport gala days
- gymnastics
- football and cricket clinics
- intensive swimming program
We are proud of our students’ success in representative sports including soccer, netball, swimming and athletics. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocesan Primary Sports Council.
School Sport
Social Justice
Our students are offered a wide variety of local community activities to help develop a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. This positive participation and actions can be seen in how we interact and learn with one another, work collaboratively and take ownership of our behaviour as well as active involvement in faith-based experiences.
Our Mini Vinnies group helps people in need in the spirit of the St VIncent de Paul society. Together with the mission leaders, the Mini Vinnies run the Toastie Thursdays fundraiser for the St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal.
In recent years, our students have participated in the Caritas Water Challenge to raise awareness of the global water crisis.

Excursions, Camps and Retreats
Every student loves to get out of the classroom and explore.
Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to observe new things not available at school such as rare and exotic wildlife and plants, different cultures and the stories of our history. These experiences lead to deeper understanding of learning subjects.
Camps and retreats are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories!
